I’m Jaimee, and eyewear has been a lifelong passion of mine. Long before I entered the optical industry, I was captivated by vintage frames. That love began with my grandmother, who had an incredible eye for accessories. One day, while exploring her closet, I found a pair of oversized 70’s glasses that completely mesmerized me—the style, the craftsmanship, the story they carried.

Inspired by that moment, I pursued a career in optics, graduating with honors in Optical Dispensing from American Career College. For the past 14 years, I’ve dedicated myself to the field, spending the last 11 years working at a family-owned optometry practice in Pasadena, CA.

In 2019, I decided to merge my professional expertise with my lifelong passion and launched Spectacles of Mind—a curated collection of independent eyewear and rare dead stock vintage frames. My goal is to offer pieces that celebrate individuality and timeless style, from the 1960s through the 1990s.

Over the last four years, you may have seen me at the Palm Springs Vintage Market, where I showcase my collection along with custom lens tinting and eyewear repair services. Each frame I carry tells a story, and I take pride in helping people find eyewear that feels just as unique as they are.
